BlackRock's Larry Fink's 'Orange-Pill' Revelation Sparks Speculation of Bitcoin's Potential Surge to New Heights
Bitcoin Could Hit a New Record High with Blackrock's Larry Fink as a Believer, Says Mike Novogratz
- Bitcoin's current all-time high is $69,000 set in 2021, and it's now hovering below $30,000.
- BlackRock CEO Larry Fink's conversion into a bitcoin devotee is this year's headline event for the token and could send it to a new record high, according to crypto bull billionaire Mike Novogratz.
- Novogratz believes that Fink's change in viewpoint indicates shifting attitudes towards the digital currency.
BlackRock's Application for a Bitcoin Spot ETF Signals Institutional Support
BlackRock's June application to establish a bitcoin spot ETF is seen as a major signal of institutional support for the cryptocurrency.
Fink himself has also expressed bullish remarks on digital tokens, stating that they could revolutionize finance.
This is a significant change in perspective from Fink, who previously dismissed bitcoin in 2017.
Pivoting Sentiment and Future Interest Rate Cuts Could Boost Bitcoin's Price
Novogratz believes that Fink's endorsement, along with a future cut in interest rates, could help bitcoin surpass its previous record high of $69,000.
The token has been fluctuating around the $30,000 mark for the past few months.
Fundstrat also predicts that a bitcoin ETF from BlackRock could drive a boost in daily demand for the crypto token, potentially sending the price to $180,000 by April.
Ripple's Court Victory and Worldcoin's Potential
Ripple's recent court victory against the Securities and Exchange Commission, where a judge ruled its cryptocurrency was not a security, shows that regulatory rules are still unclear.
Novogratz also mentioned Worldcoin, a cryptocurrency developed by OpenAI co-founder Sam Altman, which uses an eyeball scanner to establish unique digital identities per user.
Novogratz believes that Worldcoin's potential is high due to the current AI-hype cycle.
The currency is currently trading at $2.33 as of Monday afternoon.
